Tenerife Sea | A Moodboard

A few days ago I was listening to music while getting some work done and Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran came on, and I started thinking about how calming the ocean is, both in nature and color. Before I knew it, I was creating a board of soothing blues and shimmering golds on Pinterest. So, I thought I'd share a bit of the colors that have been inspiring my creativity lately.

Winter Night In

There's nothing like a good night out, but sometimes this winter weather isn't the best for going out. Personally, I love the winter and all that comes with it, but I must admit that these weather conditions sometimes make it hard to enjoy a night out. It's no fun getting all dressed up to go out, just to cover it up with heavy layers to trek through inches of snow and stay warm. But just because I can't go out, doesn't mean that I can't have a good time.

Pretty In Pink | A Moodboard

As I've been coming up with ideas for some projects that I'm working on, I've been drawing inspiration from this lovely color palette. Although I am not a huge fan of the color pink, more specifically bright, neon pinks, I do enjoy soft, subtle, pastel pinks.

3 Must-Try Hair Masks

3 Must Try Hair Masks

I am a girl of many obsessions, hair masks being one of them. And since deciding to take better care of my hair almost two years ago, I have tried so many masks that I'm practically an experts! I'm joking. But seriously, I have tried my fair share of hair masks both store bought and diy and have stumbled upon some true gems. So, today I'm sharing some of my favorite hair masks/treatments that have shown amazing results.

Everyday Makeup - Winter Edition

Everyday Makeup - Winter Edition

Today, I'm sharing my go-to winter makeup look. For the past few weeks I've been reaching for the same products to create a simple, winter appropriate look. Mostly, because I've been far to lazy to try anything dramatic, and I'm currently on the hunt for the perfect everyday look to go to on those days where I have very little time to get ready.

Winter Mornings

Winter Mornings
Today on the blog I thought I'd share how I start my day. Since I'm done with school (for now) I've had more time to actually enjoy the mornings. Not having to rush to get ready and out the door for class everyday has given me time to develop a routine. Here's what a typical morning looks like for me:

Drugstore Products Worth Purchasing + Repurchasing

Drugstore Products Worth Purchasing
We all have those products that we continuously buy because they're affordable and work great, and what sense does it make to mess up a good thing? These are mine:

Winter Uniform

Winter Uniform

During the winter season there are a few things that I am just not a fan of, but the fashion is definitely not one of them. I'm in love with all things winter fashion related; the warm sweaters, the chunky boots, everything! So, it's usually not hard for me to pick my outfits, I just pick a few items from my go-to winter wardrobe and I'm ready to walk out the door.

Winter Haircare Tips

Winter Haircare Tips
During my first winter with curly hair, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know that during the colder months of the year, hair suffers the most. The harsh elements can be very drying and cause some serious damage to our precious locks.  So, it is extremely important to protect our strands during the winter season. Today I'm sharing some tips that really helped last winter, and that are still working for me this winter.

Winter Skincare Routine for Combo Skin

Winter Skincare Routine
As a girl with combination/oily skin I can usually expect to be a bit of an oily mess during the warmer months. But during the winter I never know just what my skin is going to do or when. Some days my forehead is super greasy but my nose is extremely dry. Other days, it's like my entire face hasn't seen moisturizer in days. So, I've been working to find a routine that gives me enough moisture to combat the dryness but doesn't leave me looking oily, and I think I've figured it out! My skin behaves so well whenever I use this routine.

Winter Wardrobe Essentials

 Winter Wardrobe Essentials
Now that it's starting to feel like winter, I can finally wear some of my favorite winter pieces without getting funny looks or overheating. During this time of year I always find myself reaching for the same things when looking for something to wear. They're timeless winter pieces that will (hopefully) never go out of style. And even if they do, I'll probably keep wearing them because they're just great go-to pieces.

2016 Hopes & Goals

2016 Goals
Well, 2015 is officially over and while the year was fairly decent and all, I can't help but feel like the year was completely wasted. With the exception of completing community college, I didn't accomplish any of my goals. Which truly sucks, because I had so many great ideas and things I wanted to achieve. Unfortunately, I didn't have the proper amount of motivation to back up those goals. And the stress of successfully finishing up my final semester of school didn't help much either. But now it's 2016 (yay!) and I feel extra determined to set and actually achieve some goals this year.

Autumn/Winter Skin Saviors

Autumn-Winter Skin Saviors
As much as I love cold weather, I don't really care for the dry skin that comes with it. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose skin gets a bit dry during the cold seasons. Recently, I've found myself pulling out the best of the best of my skincare products. The ones that leave my skin ridiculously moisturized and soft. And I know, most of us are probably wearing our favorite sweaters and comfiest leggings, and no one's really looking at our skin. But healthy, moisturized skin is important. And let's be honest, dry skin isn't cute.
